Born and raised in Frankfurt as the son of Filipino immigrants who came to Germany in the 1970s, Nestie grew up between two cultures. As a teenager, he learned traditional Filipino dances at the Philippine Cultural Institute Frankfurt and performed at the annual Fiesta Filipina.

After studying and spending 15 years in Basel, Switzerland, he became an international businessman with a global perspective — yet never lost his roots. Barrio Fiesta Frankfurt is the realization of a long-held vision: a platform where Filipinos and their families can celebrate their heritage together.
